What's the theory here? Elon's such a moron he overpays for a wildly inflated asset twice? And this time the asset is way crappier?

That story comes from a "CNN expert" who believes this could be the "most corrupt" way to "funnel billions" from Musk to Trump. She did not really have an idea why Musk would want to do that. Musk has huge plans with X. Truth Social is not in any way a real competitor, there won't be a merger

My only interactions with him is him wildly overpaying me for my Twitter shares and him paying me $100 for signing some election petition after I had already voted for the other candidate. I love that he keeps giving me money, but he's obviously a moron.

Theory here could be?: 1) buy truthsocial / DJT company and eliminate competition 2) merge X into DJT - then they instantly a stock market listing and can raise massive capital? X is at massive loss currently - getting on the exchange could help him cut massive losses? Just a theory.
