Its something that happens every time. Trump makes a mistake, spews something completely batshit insane because someone in his inner circle (prolly Loomer & co) tried a hyperbole in private but his senile brain couldn't comprehend it so he took it at face value. Now, the cult cannot accept it as a fault of dear leader. So as a Pavlov-response, they huddle together to drum up something that is either vaguely related (legal geese eating in Cleveland), or creates some outrage that takes away the attention of the former statement (from eating to VOODOO now, it seems). Its classic fascist rhetoric, never admit fault, always expand on the lies so people get confused about the truth.
