They lied for at least a year about Bidens mental incapacity. Made it so no primary was alowed and when caught, had to threaten Biden to get the egomaniac to not run for reelction. But a mental invalid is still President while the markets tank and war brews. A disaster.

Well, they had some choice. They voted for a Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 and in the 2024 primary. While it's not automatic that a VP would take over the top slot when vacated, I think there is a sense that that's the role of the VP ... to step in should the POTUS candidate withdraw. In my view, the Democrats made the best of a far-less-than-ideal situation.
