How would a defi platform that exists as an alternative to traditional banking function without a token? I'm sure it could, but it also seems to me that it's pretty likely depending on how the platform works. The token in question doesn't have to be a meme coin.

Strongly doubt this would happen. He is already doing NFTs. NFTs are collectibles so its not "scammy", if he does launch a token he would be called a scammer, and his campaign managers know it. I doubt this would ever happen, it would lose him points in the elections.
