Will RFK Jr. drop out by Friday?

I had even originally voted yes, but the right answer is NO. Insane that they are trying to steal this.

because it's not about what the truth is, it's about what some whales' and PM's kneejerk reaction is. Look at how No dominated until they provided "additional context" which was cherrypicked and beside the point.

He will literally be on the ballot against Trump in 30 or 40 states, and if some circumstances change then he can become president. It is extremely clear that he did not drop out of the race. This must resolve to NO. It couldn't be more clear.

September and November already resolved yes, as they should. You know good and well that no campaign EVER ends in the way you are implying, and often legally cannot. You are just crying because you wanted to 100x your money because you are lazy and stupid. I warned you people to get off before it was too late, and you never listened, like a kid who really wants to touch the stove. Some lessons need to be learned the hard way.

The APPLICABLE original rules state: "Compound words will count as long as "joy" is part of the compound word and references the meaning which refers to a feeling of great pleasure and happiness." The definition of the compound word "joy-filled" is, "to be filled with joy: to be extremely happy, content; to be delighted" The definition of the compound word "joyful" is, "to be full of joy: feeling, expressing, or causing great pleasure and happiness" THE DEFINITION OF "JOYFUL" IS CLOSEST TO THE DESCRIPTION IN THE FULL RULES! IN FACT, IT'S EXACT! There is no other compound word in the English language that has a definition that perfecly matches the one in the original rules. Furthermore, the origin of the suffix "-ful" is the word "full". Google it! Search, "-ful etymology". Over time, the last "L" was dropped for economy. By adding the morpheme "-y" to "joyful", you get "joyfully"--most clearly a compound word. Figure it out! Merriam-Webster EXPLICITLY specifies that "-ful" forms compound words. The word "Joyful" was the initial request when creating this market. Polymarket reduced it to "Joy", adding the compound word inclusion with a definition that PERFECTLY MATCHES the definition of the compound word, "Joyful". Kamala said "Joy". It's 100% YES! LAWSUIT!!!

Several sources say clearly and expressly that it is a compound word. You say it is not, but no other sources specifically say that it is not. It is clear that this must resolve to YES.

Exactly. Joyful is not a compound word.

Thanks for the link. It is beyond disturbing that an obviously wrong and unjust conclusion can be made by idiots voting against reality. I'm done with Polymarket. It's a crap shoot that has been wrong several times, and now we know why and how it happens.

The resolution has to be NO. He will literally be on the ballot against Trump in 40 states. That is not dropping out of the race, even if he won't win.

I have been on one side or another of 9 disputed resolutions in the past 6 weeks. Polymarket must make true and just decisions or it is not worth anything to stay here.

Any updates on decision? Does this shit happen a lot on polymarket? He clearly said he was not ending his campaign, so I don’t understand why it is so skewed..

Couldn't be more clear. I am tired of bad actors who write the additional context notes. He did not drop out of the race, and he will be in the ballot in all but 10 states. This must be officially resolved to NO.

People, please just try to think for a minute: I can't even understand why this market hasn't resolved to "No" until now! The bet is: "This market will resolve to 'Yes' if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially announces his withdrawal or is confirmed to have withdrawn from the 2024 US presidential race by 11:59 PM ET on August 23, 2024." Kennedy insisted that he is not ending his campaign, but he did mention that he will withdraw his name from appearing on ballots in swing states (CNN article). Even if he loses the election in 10 states, he could theoretically still win the election. It might be a strategy to make Harris lose those states because he knows he will lose them anyway, but he theoretically could still win in the other states and become president. Conclusion: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did NOT officially announce his withdrawal or was confirmed to have withdrawn from the 2024 US presidential race by 11:59 PM ET on August 23, 2024. Therefore, this market should clearly resolve to "No."

The reason to argue for NO is because Joyful is not a compound word. If you "Google" it as you say, you would not find a credible source making such an absurd argument

This is the Polymarket rule: "Compound words will count as long as "joy" is part of the compound word... " Here is the English grammar rule:"Joyful is a 6 letter word, used as a article or as a adjective satellite, a compound word, and has the letters fjlouy (fjlouy). ... A compound word, joyful has more than one word within it." Seems clear that the resolution is YES.

The resolution needs to be, "YES", right? The rule says that if joy is used in a compound word, then it resolves to yes. Joyful is a compound word (just Google it). Therefore the resolution is YES. I don't see the reason to argue for NO.
