Usually you tax something if you don't want more of it. LOL it's definitely not reaching 155m. I just went through the California counties individually, and they all have far lower unprocessed ballots than the Cali SOS that AP is pulling data from says. They overestimated and have corrected down. Prepare to lose your bags, 155-160 holders.

If we consider the time served already as jail time, then they would have removed the option of “no jail time” because she has been in custody for a year already. The only way to interpret these rules is in a way that makes all outcomes technically possible.

No matter how much time she gets they're almost certainly going to give her credit for time served. If she gets time served it will resolve to however much time she has already served. She will almost certainly be convicted and if she doesn't get jail time I can almost gaurantee the court will sentence her to time served. They don't get let you off they'll put it on paper that you did prison time if they can if you're guilty.

If Lex has just 60-90 mins with Trump, what would he prioritise? I think top 3 = Israel, Ukraine, Internal Divide in the US. Israel high % reflected here. Putin high %, but Zelensky is discounted as it may arise in that part, better money rn. And i think Civil war could come up under internal polarisation, at that price its good money imo. Next are issues like abortion, border, crypto, AI, free speech. Depends on how much time they have, I think abortion is overpriced here unless its just glanced over, wont be long discussion on that between these 2. and i think Lex wont focus on border as trump always talks about that. You're argument here is that a tech regulation that imposes liability for unreasonable negligence of AI that does $500 million+ in damage will be so common that companies will give up the opportunity to do business in California. California does have regulations and taxes, that I am certain of, even on the tech industry!! The idea that any regulation instantly causes AI companies to cease to leave is wrong and the cost of regulation is always balanced with the benefit of doing business in the state when companies evaluate the regulation. https://www.brookings.edu/articles/can-california-fill-the-federal-void-on-frontier-ai-regulation/ this article says that california REGULATES the internet. 500m is a lot of money lol hacks can't just be "blamed" on AI. The people suing have to show evidence not only that the cyberattack was conducted by the AI, but also that the developer had a reasonable oversight for it. The chance any one AI company gets sued is so low, while AI companies make a lot of money by being in california and doing business there, since there are a lot of customers

No company has even gone near the threshold of being sued under this statute. No AI has killed anyone or done $500 million+ damage. If developers are confident they will get sued, then the technology they are creating is definitely dangerous. The safety checks are not burdensome and have support from the industry

The bill doesn't make people liable for ALL technology. It exclusively covers models worth more than $100 million or above a very specific computing level that is clearly defined in the bill. It forces liability on companies that either kill people or do $500 million+ of damage.
