Insane value on "No", here's why: 1: Every single person who has been nominated to the cabinet has explicitly requested to be on the cabinet, no one, including Matt Gaetz, had a change of heart about apply to their position. The only reason Gaetz resigned was because there was litterally so much controversy around him that that was all anyone was talking about in the news. This has not happened anywhere close to anyone else nominated, and that it what it takes to make someone withdraw. My estimate for fair value would be 95% No chance. With the last race called (Gallego/Lake), outside of Trump winning (a historic realignment, most latinos ever won by a Rep., most blacks in 48 years, NJ, NY, IL all much closer than Texas), the election was a near disaster for Republicans. There was an R+4 electorate! When was the last time that happened? If the GOP couldn't win the majority of possible Senate and House seat pickups then, they will be destroyed in the 26 midterms. An R+4 electorate is a once in a lifetime opportunity with a Presidential candidate racking up an EC rout and popular vote win. I fear what will happen in 2026 and beyond.

It’s sort of hard to tell the story as to why this man doesn’t just sit in his office and continue to exist as a zombie campaign. They can’t replace him, and NC requires write-in candidates to turn in a petition with signatures 90 days in advance, which nobody did, so there’s no even a write-in option for governor on NC ballots.

I've been weighing this too. There was far more incentive for both the party and Robinson to drop out before the deadline. Now, that incentive is gone. If Robinson drops out now, his name is still on the ballot unless the courts do something extraordinary. Surprised to see 'Yes' appreciating as the deadline nears when the upside for him dropping out is much less.
