per the “additional context”a news organization doesn’t have to show proof that this person has a relation to ABC, because if you think about it and look for past instances, the news organization sharing the story would be the proof, given that they can be sued, and only proof that they could show would be releasing the name of the man, which they can’t, and poly would just have said “the name must be public” without “or”. One of the moderators has already admitted that fact checking was only intended for trump, (link 26-27) just like the affidavit says, so it’s not far fetched especially that it was written before the debate

And although based on the rules the contents of the affidavit don’t matter to be true, it’s hard to believe that the one who signed it before the debate was able to predict one sided fact checking, podium size, questions that won’t be asked… without having a relation to ABC, anyways affidavit needs to be released by the weekend per the rules, but can be confirmed on monday after the weekend has ended. Copies are said to be currently being sent to people if they agree not share name legally, it was already sent to Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson unredacted but nothing from him yet, and the attorney is said to come out next week which would make it more and more official

This market was created based on @DocNetyoutube ‘s tweet claiming to post a blacked out affidavit without names before the end of the weekend (link 1) this is clear because this market started just after the tweet went viral, and the end date was set sunday at midnight, it’s not a coincidence, the next day after many of us including me bought many shares not for for cheap, poly added additional context “For the purposes of this market, a “whistleblower” is defined as someone with a specific relation to ABC Network. The name must be either be public on the affidavit, or confirmed by credible sources to have relation to ABC.” It’s not really nice to add it later but i understand that it was probably done so i for example don’t create a fake affidavit with no relation to ABC just to win this market. In (link 2) what was set out to do was done, the man posted as he said blacked out signed affidavit.

You can clearly see thats its signed, showing the signature would reveal the whistleblower, so just like the name, it needs to be confirmed by a credible source. So basically revealing that there is an affidavit from someone with connection to ABC would also reconfirm that it’s signed, if it wasn’t signed it wouldn’t be an affidavit. The question is more regarding the need of a credible source to confirm the relation to ABC. Hopefully they keep getting more and more credible today

Just for clarification, a signed affidavit wasn't released technically? The images released have redacted signatures, which are blacked out. Obviously if they weren't blacked out they would be classified as signed. But regardless if the document is real or fake, a signature was never released publicly which is what the rules are requesting, no? I may be incorrect, just trying to understand here as english isn't my first language.

I was the first to buy yes at high and bought some more after the additional context for cheap because I personally believe that @DocNetyoutube on twitter will release it by sunday with the names blacked out, you may believe otherwise, or think that given the additional context it will go to no anyways, many times i disagree with the additional context but this one’s understandable, it so for example i, eho have no relation to ABC, don’t sign an affidavit and post it to win this market, and redact it afterwards. Polymarket clearly knows that the names will be blacked out, hence “confirmed by credible sources” line, although it will definitely be disputed, but us and UMA voters have been good in judgement lately. But again @doc might not release it or release it on time and you might be right, but let’s wait and see, good luck!

UMA's job is to resolve based on the incoming ruleset. The incoming ruleset here includes the additional ontext. It is not UMAs job to make up the ruleset. UMA would have a hard time getting customers if customers felt that their rules were going to be ignored.
