Ok im done with my yap session but I wanted to say that NO concerts are not a scam! As a big music fan it has literally been some of the best moments of my life. Seeing Beyonce at SoFi Stadium is my best concert experience ever. SoFi is pretty new so it has the best sound system I've ever heard. Renaissance is a house/experimental album with deep bass and the bass was so hard it literally shook my stomach, I can still feel that feeling when I think about it. The production design of the show is next level and the visuals were sooooo trippy and psychedelic. Her voice is angelic; it sounds even better in person than pre recorded. We got guest appearances by Diana Ross and Kendrick Lamar. Man I would do ANYTHING to experience it again 😩

The reason I truly believe Beyonce or Charli is gonna win is because I really do not see any black or gay members of the academy voting for Billie over Beyonce. Remember this is the same academy that gave the award to Jon Batiste’s album in 2022, beating Billie’s album “Happier Than Ever” which is considered by many to be her best album yet. Billie’s album this year was okay but it was nothing new or different, while Beyonce has redefined genres and completely reinvented herself. If you have the chance please listen to Cowboy Carter and more specifically her previous album Renaissance (2022) its so experimental and different from anything i’ve ever heard of, and it has become my 3rd fav album of all time. She takes risks and has evolved so much as an artist meanwhile Taylor and Billie are doing the same old albums with great vocal performances but nothing unique or interesting.

Look at the comments and see the first comment on this market that I left 2 months ago saying how insane it was that Taylor had the highest odds and I said the race is between Billie, Beyonce and Charli. It's because anyone who actually knows about music and pop culture knew that Taylor was not gonna win since the very beginning. Her album was a massive flop critically and no one really listened to it apart from die hard Swifties, most of which would agree that it is her weakest album yet. Even Taylor has mentioned the fact that maybe this wasn’t one of her best works and that she uses the feedback as motivation to make her next album better. The only reason it debuted with such high odds is because most people betting were people who don’t know the music industry well and just thought Taylor was gonna win because of how big of a year she’s had and because she already has won the award 5 times. 2024 was such an amazing year for music and especially for female pop stars and there has never been a year where Album of the Year was more up for grabs than this one. Also for big award shows there is no insider information at all. Thousands of grammy academy members vote for this category in secret. There is really no way to know, people are just guessing based on the album's critical reception and the grammy’s voting patterns.

My spreadsheet for the remaining ~27500 votes says: Duarte needs 46.4% of the remaining votes to win. Gray needs 53.6.. just depends if you really believe that the "late ballots" are going to lean about 8% relatively more democrat than the existing ballots

One thing I've been struggling to find is ballot count for NY and NJ, two of the 'biggest' states left. If you go to the sos site for NJ, it looks like maybe 70K provisionals. https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/election-results-information.shtml For NY, I looked but couldn't find anything. Fwiw, they had a massive 750K dump around Dec 1st of 2020 which cause a +0.4 shift to biden's margin. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_New_York&oldid=991813586 They had weird counting laws in 2020 tho for NY.
