yeah I really don't get it either. Given the countries demographics, it's almost impossible for trump to win the popular vote, while given the electoral college it's almost impossible for Kamala to win given the polling in battleground states. I also did the math and though $.26 made no sense since this outcome is an expected return of $.39. I was going to bet on both individually and then was shocked to find this buying opportunity on this market.

Since 1964 they have tracked polling average bumps for candidates the week after their convention. Only twice in history has the candidate declined post convention - 2004 John Kerry, 2012 Mitt Romney. Only other sub-1 point gain was Biden 2020, but he still gained. She's currently at 1.5 and the convention went great - there's almost no chance she breaks historical precedent and see's a decline. She gained .8 the week of Aug 10 and which was her best week, if she matches that she'd be 2-2.5. Because of how averages are calculated a 1+ pt gain is almost impossible in a week. Very safe bets in the 1.5-2.4 range.
