The best resolution of this is to cancel the market and cancel all the bets and return the money to all bet holders. Additional context was added after the bet expired and it's very unfair to give judgement any side.

I agree in a sense, but not for this particular market. The same thing happened to me with the JFK market, and I learned what you will soon find out. The note literally says how this will resolve. And commonn sense obviously refers to the debate rules of whether the mics are muted or not. Not whether for a second they are both speaking. Again it is PM fault for vague rules, but this happens often and No holders always get their hopes. You will see soon.

The best way to look at this is by substituting a variable -- let's use blindfold for muted mic. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the candidates are blindfolded specifically while the other candidate is speaking. So if at any point during the debate, the candidates are not blindfolded specifically while the other candidate is speaking, the market must resolve to "No" bc the absence of the blindfold while the other candidate is speaking is exactly what disqualifies the market from satisfying the criteria required for it resolve "Yes".
