Could go either way, Russia made a push but its one of those long narrow breakthroughs where Ukraine potentially still has controlling of the flanking buildings making it very hard for russia to keep pushing thru the central line deeper to the church. Ukraine has surely been expecting this and has reinforced those positions heavily. This may turn into a meat grinder for the next week and save the No side. But if Russia throws enough at this, then it likely makes sense for ukraine to cut losses and fall back to the next line in the city.

Summary - On average, it takes about 60 days to capture such a city (fighting for the city has not yet started). - Nearby settlements need to be cleared. - The Russians will not have the element of surprise as they did at the beginning of the fighting for New York. - Some reserves will be redirected to the Kursk direction (aircraft are already being moved). - The city is surrounded by terrikons (waste piles from mines). - There is a significant number of multi-story buildings on the side of the anticipated offensive. The Russians are expected to capture Toretsk in 2024, but 45 days is extremely insufficient for such an operation

The Russian units are 19 minutes on foot and 4 minutes by car from the church. In my opinion, the Russians should continue in the same spirit and destroy the enemy without rushing. Now or in 2 months the city will be liberated. You just have to act carefully
