both candidates' microphones may be unmuted if there is significant crosstalk so the audience can understand what's happening:https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/harris-accepts-rules-sept-10-debate-trump-abc-113401223

a clip of this hot mic moment. https://x.com/especiallyinga/status/1833707793439739967?s=46 you can watch this moment at https://www.youtube.com/live/T89NYFjEAiM?si=2bcmM3W8-jf0-Wsa 25:15 I think that the "Additional context" which in this case was added after the debate should not be counted because it would not be fair. it would be correct to count "no" or a 50/50 split, since the conditions for this market to resolve to yes were not satisfied during the debate.

"This market will resolve to "Yes" if the microphones of the candidates are muted specifically while the other candidate is speaking during the ABC-hosted presidential debate, currently scheduled for September 10, 2024. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No."".....there is no mention of the policy guiding the resolution of this market and its an embarrassment that the Dispute system produced Additional Context referencing debate rules - which were still being negotiated up until the start of the debate. This needs to be looked at immediately

It was reported before the debate that they would keep the markets unmuted it if they thought something newsworthy might be said

For many of the times though the microphones are demonstrably muted. How should this resolve?

Mics are not muted. Mics are unmuted at will. Mics were unmuted.
