If I were an advisor I'd say Harris may benefit from an interim presidency to give her a standing at the elections and if she can control her horrible goofy speeches it could paint her as capable to the undecided that don't trust her - the same advisors clearly can convince weekend at bernie's Biden to resign making it look as a dignified choice.

Biden has no future in the White House. Kamala does. If making her president helps her get elected, Joe will do it
