I don't recommend anyone bet on this market, given the nonsensical way the last election market in Venezuela was resolved. The same could happen here.

Why doesnt this resolve as yes? Currently Edmundo Gonzalez is in charge of Venezuela. Elections were officially won by Gonzalez! The last regime doesnt have the authority to say its in charge, so it should be ignored!

Also a question - if Blinken announces something like 'Maduro is already losing power, and the people of Venezuela will soon be liberated,' should the market also decide that Maduro has lost power?

I was being facetious. No way i'm betting here. They might say Maduro slept for a couple hours and lost power.

I don't think Polymarket resolved the election correctly, but this is not contradictory, at the very least since his term is still ongoing
