There is no upside for Iran to attack. If attack gets intercepted again, they look weak. If attack is successful, they will get pummeled by Israel, possibly the US, & will look to Russia for support who will leave them hanging.

The attack is very much possible actually, Trump is having an interview in 1.30 hr, and its 1:24am in Iran, it would be ideal for them to attack @3-5am. And in addition, they also recently hacked Trump's campaign.
