Furthermore: nowhere in Danish Media has it been mentioned that a referendum might happen in April. I think Politico must have misquoted Mute B Egede.

This market is ridiculous. The law regarding Greenland self governance is pretty clear on the order of things if Greenland wants independence. 1) negotiationd between Greenland and Denmark, 2) referendum on the specific agreement. 3) ratification by the Danish Parliament. Negotiations have not started so a referendum will not happen this year.
