It's not a fact, it's a threat. And the bet is will he carry it out. Canada will fold like cards but if he seriously links drugs to the tariffs then Mexico is probably screwed.

"He said the import duties on Mexico and Canada would only be removed once illegal immigration and drug trafficking to the US had stopped." Immigrants stopped maybe, but does anyone seriously think the seamstress in charge of Mexico now can stop the cartels exporting - on her end? This seems like an impossible mission and guaranteed tariffs. I'm almost tempted to buy yes.
