If Meatball appoints Lara, he kills any legitimacy he'd have running against Vance next time, potentially ending his chances for presidency for good. Also you'd have Pushaw and his other goons attacking MAGA when Nunez runs against Gaetz/Donalds in less than two years? He can't be that stupid again you'd think.
