But Russia already annexed land they don't control, that land is Russian according to the Russian constitution, they legally HAVE to take that land

Ukraine holds less than 0.5% of Russian land mass. Russia has taken 18-20% of the land Ukraine owned. The east is now Russian, forever. How do you negotiate for land swaps when you hold nothing of value? Ukraine are acting delusional, good luck getting Crimea back.
