The only times the PFWA MVP and AP MVP have been “different” are when there were ties. Allen and Lamar each need to get 20 votes for first and 20 for second for there to be a tie. Meaning Burrow or Barkley can't be in the top 2 on any ballot. Of course, Allen or Lamar COULD place 3rd on one ballot, but the other would have to place below that multiple times. Plus, it’s likely Chase, Daniels, Henry, and Surtain received some votes complicating the voting even further.
